Most implant consultations take about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the imaging and evaluation needed. This visit allows plenty of time to answer your questions and review your treatment plan.

Your first steps to a Capital Smile™
Dental Implant Consultation: What to Expect
We understand that exploring dental implants can feel like a big step. Our goal is to make the process simple, comfortable, and completely transparent from the very first interaction.
Your Initial Call
After you submit your form, our team will call you to learn more about your needs and goals.
During this conversation, we’ll:
- Ask a few questions about your dental history and concerns
- Determine whether dental implants may be the right solution for you
If it sounds like implants are a good fit, we’ll schedule a complimentary implant consultation. Your implant consultation, including necessary X-rays, is completely free.
If not, we’ll help you schedule a comprehensive exam to explore other treatment options (this visit is billed to insurance when applicable).
What happens during your implant consultation?
From the moment you arrive, our goal is to make you feel comfortable, informed, and confident in your next steps.
When you check in, our front desk team will warmly welcome you and help you settle in—feel free to enjoy a coffee before we get started.
We’ll then guide you through the first step of your visit by taking a panoramic X-ray. This gives us a clear view of your bone structure and helps determine if dental implants are the right option for you.
After your imaging, you’ll return to a private consultation room while the doctor reviews your X-rays to confirm candidacy. Once everything is ready, we’ll sit down together to walk through your results and discuss your options.
During this time, we will:
- Review your X-rays with you
- Talk through your concerns, goals, and expectations
- Present all available treatment options
- Clearly explain costs, including any available discounts
You’ll also meet with Dr. Chapek, who will answer your questions, explain the recommended approach, and ensure you feel fully confident in your personalized treatment plan.
A Comfortable, No-Pressure Experience
We understand that many patients feel nervous. That’s why:
- We keep the consultation relaxed and pressure-free.
- In most cases, we do not perform a full oral exam during this visit.
- Our focus is on education, comfort, and helping you explore your options.

Smile Design Day
In rare cases, if you’re ready to move forward immediately and we have availability, we may be able to complete your Smile Design Day the same day as your consultation—saving you an extra visit.
Smile design day is when we begin planning the details of your Capital Smile™. During this visit, we use advanced technology and digital imaging to carefully design how your dental implants will look, feel, and function. Your dentist will map out the precise placement of your implants to ensure optimal support, comfort, and natural-looking results. This step allows us to customize your treatment to your unique facial structure, bite, and aesthetic goals. By planning every detail ahead of time, we can ensure your implant procedure is efficient, predictable, and safe.

“From the moment you arrive, our goal is to make the entire experience calm, comfortable, and completely supported. Every detail—from preparation to recovery—is carefully planned so you can feel confident, informed, and relaxed on the day of your Smile Creation.”
– Dr. Brandon Chapek

Dental Implant Technology
In-house dental lab
Our in-house lab allows us to 3D print and custom paint full arches, which significantly reduces the time it takes for patients to receive their new smiles. Because our lab works directly with our clinical team, adjustments and customization can be completed quickly, helping streamline the entire treatment process.
Advanced 3D imaging (CBCT)
Cone Beam CT (CBCT) provides highly detailed 3D images of the jawbone, teeth, and surrounding structures. This allows our team to plan implant placement with exceptional accuracy. Our oral and maxillofacial radiologist, Dr. Hershberger, interprets these images to ensure the highest level of diagnostic precision. Having this technology on-site means patients do not need to travel to another location for imaging, making the process more convenient.
Digital scan impressions
Instead of traditional dental impressions that require a mouth full of impression material, we use fully digital scanning technology. Digital scans create highly accurate 3D models of your teeth and gums, providing a more comfortable experience for patients. These scans are sent directly to our lab and can be 3D printed for precise restorations, reducing the risk of errors that can occur with traditional impression materials. This technology improves accuracy, shortens turnaround times, and helps minimize the chance that patients will need to return for additional impressions.
