About Dr. Hershberger
After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska in 2012, Dr. Hershberger completed advanced general dentistry training with the United States Navy in 2013. He practiced at Naval Station Norfolk and Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point before continuing his education at the University of Texas Health, earning a Master of Dental Science degree in 2020. Dr. Hershberger received his board certification in oral and maxillofacial radiology in 2020.

In 2020, Dr. Hershberger received one of the highest recognitions an oral and maxillofacial radiologist can earn by becoming certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is the only board-certified oral and maxillofacial radiologist (OMR) in Nebraska and one of only four nationwide.
In 2023, Dr. Hershberger received his license to administer moderate sedation after completing advanced, board-approved education requirements.

Serving active-duty Navy Sailors and Marines was an incredibly meaningful experience for Dr. Hershberger and one that led to several lasting friendships. In 2023, he and his wife, Abigail, returned to Lincoln with their eight children. They love embracing Nebraska life, cheering on the Huskers, and staying busy with family activities and community events. When he’s not in the office, you’ll likely find Dr. Hershberger on the golf course or out and about—usually with a trail of kids not far behind.
